Pinkly Smooth

Pinkly Smooth was a collaborative side project of members of Avenged Sevenfold and Ballistico. The line-up was as follows:

Vocals, Piano, Drums: Rat Head (‘The Reverend’, Avenged Sevenfold)
Guitar: Synyster Gates (Avenged Sevenfold)
Keyboards, Piano: Justin Sane
Bass: El Diablo (‘Buck Silverspur’, Ballistico)
Drums: Super Loop (‘D Rock’, Ballistico)

Pinkly Smooth incorporate frantically-delivered lyrics about blood, resurrection and funerals into songs which take inspiration from sources such as circus music, Queen, and a bevy of classic metal bands. The result is a strange but compelling mixture of Danny Elfman-esque piano lines, screaming guitar lines and vocal acrobatics. Deranged, fun, progressive and slightly disturbing.

Pinkly Smooth have released one album, 2002’s “Unfortunate Snort”. No further releases have been advertised, although it is unsure how much of an ongoing project the band is.

On December 28, 2009, James Owen Sullivan, other wise known as The Rev, passed away. he is missed and is in everyone’s heart. Rest(and rock) in peace.

So I guess it's safe to assume that we won't be getting another album by these guys.

This is true goblin metal. But if Johnny was in this band it would be gnome metal.

There seems to be some weird elitest logic that says if you aren't from an old/older band, you aren't a good drummer. Collectively get your heads out of your asses and give Jimmy props for being an absolutely incredible drummer.
