The proper album name - The Final Cut: Roger Waters Reads Boring Political Poems with Barely Any Singing or Remotely Interesting Music Arrangements.

@Abomination317 Disagree! In my opinion it's the worst Pink Floyd album. Even The endless river is above it

@junin_016 Well it's certainly better than the two that came after it, and in many ways it is very much a more focussed version of the Wall (that I find captures the mood it was trying to capture far better) and I just hate Wish You Were Here. Not entirely sure why. Could be the horribly uninspired title track, the forgettable other short tracks, or the overlong Shine On...

It has The Wall kind of feeling to it, but is missing the "Pink Floyd" feel. Very dark and negative, easily my least favorite PF album.

Not very Pink Floyd-ish? It's literally The Wall 2. (Spot on!)

Some of the best lyrics on any album in rock. The music is a little lacking compared to other Floyd albums, but this is still a great record.

The Final Cut>>>> Momentary Lapse of Reason, Division Bell, WIsh You Were Here, The Wall. But it's still not the best of Pink Floyd, primarily because it's a Roger Waters album.

My god, what an underrated masterpiece. I have been holding off listening to this for about 2 years, and jeez. This is beautiful. It isn't far behind the classics tbh. I would say it's pretty damn close to their 70's releases, not quite there though.

Still some of the best straight faced lines are here. I'll admit with complete sincerity that I love it when Waters says some outright offensive stuff, mostly mockingly but some of it harsh truth. Fun to sing around the house hoping someone might hear and wonder what the fuck they just heard.

Took a couple listens to really take off but it's definitely very good. The biggest problem I do have is that, at least this is my impression, a number feel like they were considered against each other for a place as one or several downer tracks or something. For The Wall film specifically, that much seems to have been stated outright. Some comes off as missing the edge present in Waters' complete albums, obviously The Wall itself most of all. But I could be speaking nonsense.

Waters is an amazing songwriter, but he made this too personal. And you can tell the instrumentation lacks because he didn't let the rest of the band be as involved as they should've. Definitely lets you see how valuable everyone was in this band. It wasn't just Waters' project like some would like to say. All that said, it's still a great record.

In my opinion it's more a Roger Water Solo album which features David Gilmour and Nick Mason as guest musicians than a Pink Floyd LP.

it has some great songs (Not Now John is basically Young Lust except 5 times as good, Fletcher Memorial Home is quite creepy and has a brillo solo, The Post War Dream is Genius, The Gunner's Dream is probably the most emotional Floyd song), but the rest is quite forgettable. Shits on the wall, though. [2] woah there. The Wall is infinitely better than the Final Cut.

"The Final Cut >>> A Momentary Lapse Of Reason/Division Bell" 50% right. Division Bell is WAY BETTER than Final Cut, but "AMLOR" is inferior to this album
