Actually, this album wasn't made by The Orb, though, like many people I thought it was for many years. In fact, Alex Paterson (founding member of and mastermind behind The Orb) has actually denied having anything to do with this or any of the other Floyd remixes. It turns out it was made by and unknown American DJ who, for some bizarre reason, still remains nameless to this day. The story goes that he self-produced this (and the other) Pink Floyd remixes and then sold them under the name The Orb in order to cash in on the real band's name. Apparently this is why he still remains anonymous because this bit of false advertising pissed off a lot of people, particularly fans of The Orb and other DJs/musicians who found out what he was doing. Which is a shame because, when it comes to just the music itself, all his Floyd remixes are good and this one in particular is excellent and he could have done quite well for himself if he hadn't lied.

It's by a duo called The Orb and someone called DJ Fish. The Orb are brilliant, i'm still unsure of what they have done here, it isn't an official release so maybe that's why it sound helter skelter, but it's not all trance as you think it. Don't write it off before you hear it and listen to The Orb if you want to hear a more modern Pink Floyd sound. One of the best acts ever and you should all check them out if you like Floyd.
