Pillars and Tongues are from Chicago. They play a kind of folk-inspired drone with a heavy influence in improvisation. They have been known to play everything with violin bows, even cowbells.

I still can't find anything other than Protection (and the Daytrotter session). Can anyone point me in the right direction to find these other songs on the list - preferably on CD >?

I saw them in Girona Last year and I'm expecting to see them again on the 16th of february, again in Girona (Spain). Religious, misthic, tribal folk, I guess.

Isn't blues a form of folk music? And yes they have two albums.

The Daytrotter Session is how I found out about them...are there any albums? Would really love to get my hands on a CD. Also - folk-inspired drone? I have heard comparitively very little, but what I have heard seems more grounded in blues than folk. o_O
