Phoebe Partridge

Noted for the exquisite quality of her voice, Phoebe Partridge has been said to sing her unique brand of “like she’s been listening to Billy Holiday her entire life”. She has rejected offers from various major record labels, choosing instead to remain homegrown, and develop at her own pace and style…

A member of The Pindrop Band since 2000, Partridge completed her debut solo album, Talk About the Weather, in 2005. Fellow Pindropper and multi-instrumentalist Piers Partridge (no relation!) wrote and produced the album - backing up the gorgeous vocals with his own acoustic guitars, mandolin, ukelele, slide guitars and various other instruments - to create a quality of sound and songwriting belying its homegrown status.

excellent vocalist... she is truly wonderful to listen to. i do have a problem with the production of her music, however. i understand wanting to stay home grown... i am doing the same thing but she really needs better mixing and production and better studio... equipped with better mics. i love her intimate sound but the acoustics are not right. what a talent... can you imagine what she would sound like with decent production?!
