29 Mar 2008, 20:45 by maxtronWhat was the first song you ever heard by 6? M83
In Church, which I found on Google while browsing random folders full of MP3s using that special Google search.
What is your favorite album by 2? X-Ray Dog
Probably Canis Rex II
What is your favorite lyric that 1 has sung? µ-Ziq
:P the songs don’t really have lyrics. That’s partly why they’re so good. The Fear repeated over and over is the only one I can think of.
How many times have you seen 11 live? Massive Attack
What is your favorite song by 7? William Fitzsimmons
My Life Changed
What is a good memory you have involving 20? The Postal Service
I don’t have a 20 – I have two equal 19’s. But I guess it would be The Postal Service. I don’t really listen to them any more, but i use to on the way to uni some times, on the bus and train. Oh to be young again... and also a robot.
Is there a song by 3 that makes you sad? Skinnious Chinnious
Don’t Hang Up :(
5 Apr 2007, 05:46 by fuxderegThis post lists, with minor additions, the music available on Roger Kamien's multi-disc set of Music: An Appreciation. Below I have briefly noted what the music is for and share my views. For a more detailed list of classical music, see Piero Scaruffi's site.
Lohengrin, Prelude to Act III
The Young Person's Guide To The Orchestra Based on sonata in a by Henry Purcell.
Farandole from L'Arlesienne Suite No. 2
Musical form: ex. dance
Dance of the Reed Pipes from Nutcracker Suite
ex. 2 two-part form A-A-B-B
Forlane from Suite No. 1 in C Major for Orchestra
Alleluia: Vidimus Stellam (We Have Seen His Star)
O Successores (You Successors)
Agnus Dei from Notre Dame Mass
Josquin Ave Maria . . . virgo serena
Pope Marcellus Mass
As Vesta was descending
Passamezzo and Galliard, from Terpsichore by Michael Praetorius
Brandenburg Concerto No. 5 in D Major. The harpsichord solo is rad.
11 Dec 2006, 02:46 by gratishoraFor all 8-bit chip music lovers out there, still trapped in the devious 80s nostalgia, here's a compilation of the best Rob Hubbard tracks according to me, myself and I. All converted using sidplay2 (8580 chip emulation except where there are digitized sounds). Leechable here.
Greetings to sharevari. :-D Thanks for the diskspace supply!
The tracks, in chronological order...
Commando - 4:00
A cover of the arcade game Commando from Capcom. Surely one of his best early songs.
The Last V8 - 2:24
Who has actually heard this track to its "in game end"? I remember Last V8 to be immensely difficult.
International Karate - 10:44
Simply genious! I just love the way this track changes character after 4:04 and how it works its way into complete insanity at around 7:00. Supposedly a cover of the song Forbidden Colours by Ryuichi Sakamoto and David Sylvian from the film Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence.
Spellbound - 5:41
30 Jan 2006, 07:37 by rolandogFinally, after searching through the Internet,... I finally found out what the music used in the background of a hilarious scene in Scrubs Episode 5.05 "My New God" is...
It's Koyaanisqatsi by Philip Glass. The tune is really powerful and inspiring... I have yet to see the film, but I guess it'll have to wait until the next weekend.
I posted the clip where the track is played in my blog, if anyone wants to hear it (since it isn't yet streamable here).
