In his past metal and rock musical lives Phil’s received a couple of KKKK reviews in Kerrang, had radio plays and played sessions for the likes of Marc Riley, Huw Stephens and Bob Fischer and supported everybody from Gallows to Biffy Clyro.
As a solo act Phil has shared stages with such luminaries as Frank Turner, Chris T-T, Franz Nicolay, Luke Leighfield, Jose Vanders and many more. His debut ‘So Much For The Aftershow’ picked up some lovely reviews. The loveliest a 10/10 from DieShellSuit Zine : “I guarantee you will find something about this record to fall in love with”.
Influenced by a lifetime of rock, he also enjoys stuff like Willy Mason, Grandaddy and Graham Coxon.
Having gone to the same Billingham school as Jamie Bell and Maximo Park’s Paul Smith; he undoubtedly isn’t as big a deal as his fellow alumni, but he did once kiss a spice girl when he was 14…
