Guitarist best known for his work with Roxy Music, although he also recorded a number of well-regarded albums in the 70s under his own name, with 801 and Quiet Sun. He's as genius as his colleague Brian Eno, just in more constructive way.

Roxy Music's "Avalon" is one of my favorite albums. Phil Manzanera's guitar is what makes it for me. Phil's album "Guitarissimo" is recommended if you like his stuff.

So, this is weird. I have 801 Live tagged as 801, when it's playing, on my page is says, "Now Playing, 801 (track name here)." But after it finishes playing, it changes to Phil Manzanera... no green asterisk that normally comes with the auto corrections, it just changes it without asking me. Any way to fix this?

I really dig his work with Roxy Music -- what album should I start with for his solo material?

Martha and the Muffins are back on the scene. Remember they toured with Roxy Music in the UK around 1980 around the time of their 'Trance and Dance' album? The Muffins are set to release release the 25th Anniversary Edition of their 1983 album 'Danseparc' on August 4th 2008. Cherry Red Records UK will release the album. The album has been digitally remastered by Peter J. Moore (producer of the Cowboy Junkies' Trinity Sessions album) in Toronto. The album was originally produced by Daniel Lanois (U2, Peter Gabriel). The album includes 3 bonus tracks including the 12" inch dance mix of 'Danseparc', the b-side 'These Dangerous Machines' and 'Sins of Children (Live)' recorded at the Ontario Place Forum, Toronto, 1983. Check out the Muffins' 'Danseparc' video on YouTube: ( Check out the Muffins new MySpace page which just went live last week:
