Criminally short. A gem disguised as a filler track.

For those who do not know it is based on an old social psychology experiment by Stanley Milgram about obedience to authority. An incredible study about giving shocks (but not really) to another person. Look up the study

I'm not really typing this comment, I've been ordered to do so, or they'll shock the monkey again.

Wow. from Big Time to... this. Easily the best track on the album.

The Miami Vice episode that features this song is titled Forgive Us Our Debts (S3E11). As said before, it fits the plot very close, and it left me with a disturbing - in a good way - feeling.

josephfuentes: Wow, I remember seeing that episode as a kid, but I didn't remember the musical cue. Guess I'll have to track it down to see it again.

this song will always remind me of an episode of Miami Vice. It was one in which Sonny (Don Johnson?) or was it Crockett, well anyway, in the show they unwittingly have a criminal freed who tricked them to believe he was innocent. After Don Johnson (his TV character), realizes he's been duped, this tune comes on in the background. Excellent ending for an excellent show.

This was a leftover from Peter Gabriel 3, I believe. And yes, it should've gone on for ten minutes!

A little Floyd-y, this is what I love about Gabriel. And on his supposedly sellout album. It's awesome
