Biography

Peter Blegvad (born 14 August 1951) is an American born, UK based singer-songwriter, and cartoonist. He was a founding member of the band Slapp Happy. He has released several solo albums and collaborated with bassist John Greaves (recording Kew.Rhône with Greaves in 1977). In 2001 Blegvad published his strangely surreal, yet beautifully drawn comic, The Book of Leviathan, which received much critical praise for blending some of the most interesting elements of Krazy Kat with a coming-of-age-esque story akin to Calvin and Hobbes.

Peter came to do a lecture at my University in about 2003. It was inspiring to say the least...'Numinous' being the loftiest/most befitting platitude.
