Peter Alamoo

Peter Alamoo first came to prominence due to his involvement in the “” scene of early 80’s Deptford. In 1981 he made his only TV appearance, performing live on the Norwegian daytime show ‘Prat Med Haakon’. Many viewers wrote in to complain.

In 1999 Peter announced that his album “110% (Across The Full 90 Minutes)” would be his last as he was retiring from music to concentrate on his other passion, competitive chess.

Peter’s departure from the comfortable world of ukulele pop may not be unconnected with the gradual loss of hearing he experienced during his early twenties. The effect this may have had on his musical output remains a matter of speculation.

His earlier stuff was way more innovative. Go-go-go-go-dancing dentist is still a favourite tune
