PerkinsWood is recording artists and composers, Jeff Perkins and Ann Wood. PerkinsWood music is guitar-based psychedelic instrumental music. Their music is the featured score for indie documentary, “Heart of the King” by Shane Stuart and Andrew Lankes. PerkinsWood albums include: Keys to the Circus (2014), Roll (2007), Son of Sparkle (2005), and Guitar Island (2004).
Perkins and Wood began experimenting with sound and were the primary song writers in many post-punk bands in Athens, GA and Columbia, MO beginning in the mid 80’s. Soon after Perkins and Wood began writing music together they formed the Atlanta instrumental rock band, Dew (1991-1997). Their sound as Dew was critically acclaimed and the band was sited as Atlanta’s premier instrumental rock band by the Atlanta Journal Constitution. Dew recorded several CD’s on Sister Ruby Records and Daemon Records (1994-1996) before taking the reigns in forming Tape Master Studios and their own label Dew Music as a vehicle for PerkinsWood.
