  • WTF? Did he delete his comment or his whole account or both?
  • @althefknamsrtkn How was this album made "before punk" when the Ramones' debut LP, The Clash's debut LP, Nevermind the Bollocks, The Damned's debut and tons of other punk records were released prior to this? That's just if you go by the strictest definition of "Punk," with the Ramones, Sex Pistols, Damned, etc., being considered the earliest of the punks, too. The Modern Dance is very much a "Post-Punk" album, whether you take that term to mean simply music that came after punk or whether you take it to mean music that was informed by the energy and ideas of punk and then turned askew with more off-kilter elements, such as this record's use of analog synths.
  • really enjoy all the noise going on on here.
  • Not new wave, but it is probably greatest post punk album
  • The greatest new wave album of ALL TIMES
  • This album is perfect from the beginning to end.
  • The absolute peak of New Wave
