A self taught pianist by age three, Pepper McGowan’s work draws from the torch songs of the Jazz Age as well as from the music of her contemporaries.
Her life as a musician began early, writing her first songs at eight, and playing on both coasts by twenty.
In the summer of 1998, she released an 8 song EP, MARROW, under her maiden name, Pepper Acton, on Cleveland’s Sound of the Sea label.

I need Marrow, too. All I want are the mp3s! I wonder what happened to her? Just settled down and lost interest in making music, I guess?

It's apparently impossible to buy Marrow now. =( I can find that CD anywhere...where can I buy it?

It was summer 2001. I drove into the City to meet Pepper at the Bitter End. I stopped on the Turnpike extension on a lark, taking a snap of the Twin Towers with a rainbow descending into them. I was drinking Makers Mark when I saw her and was blown away. A unique talent and I hear she has disappeared. Reappear, Pepper. Reappear and sear.
