I think the imagery behind this track is that its the last day of winter and everything is preparing to grow an thrive when the first day of spring arrives. If you listen to the music it matches up with this storyline pretty well.

great instrumentalists! Just great--very good composition, evidently arrived at by each instrumentalist developing their own part. This might account for the virtuoso degree of counterpoint development. Great sense of forward motion, as layering of tones grows in complexity and volume, gathers momentum, reaches crescendo, crests and elegantly subsides...only to build up again, shifting mode or key or instrument, keeping a sense of discovery.
