Dunvegan, Isle of Skye, Scotland (1994 – present)

Formed in 1994 as a pub band, and hailing from Dunvegan, Isle of Skye, Scotland, the Peatbog Faeries are one of the leading bands in the new interpretation of traditional Scottish music, crossing so many genres that they become extremely hard to define. A good effort (one of their own I think), is psychedelic bagpipe funk. Not to be confused with ‘tartan techno’!

To date, the Peatbog Faeries have released six studio albums and one live album, the latest, “Dust”, in August 2011. Their website can be found at http://www.peatbogfaeries.com.
