Biography
Brought up on a diet of hip hop, electro & 80’s synth pop, Clive Henry & Justin Drake have helped shape the house music movement without all the hype and fuss that surrounds some of their peers and contemporaries. A debut foray into the studio resulted in a release on the UK Slip ‘n’ Slide label, and the pair have not looked back since.
Building a rapport with influential labels such as Junior (check their Dark Daze project on Junior offshoot label, Fuju), Hooj and Eukatech, their impressive production output resulted in their widely respected debut album, “Junkyard Funk”. Praised by the crme de la crme of DJ talent such as Danny Tenaglia, Jon Digweed & Carl Cox, the album went on to achieve widespread acclaim and notch up phenomenal sales.
Their trademark tribal drums, dark edges and dubbed out grooves have also lent the midas touch to a multitude of artists & labels, including Rui Da Silva’s massive “Touch Me”, Moby’s “Natural Blues” and X-Press 2’s “Lazy”. On the DJ circuit, veteran Clive and Justin can be found spinning at some of the world’s finest nightclubs (including Fabric, Elements, Space, DC10, Twilo and many more).
