  • can we please correct the artist tag to "Payola$"? that is the proper name.
  • Albums as Payola$: In A Place Like This (1981) No Stranger to Danger (1982) Hammer On A Drum (1983) Album as Paul Hyde and The Payolas: Here's the World for Ya (1985) Album as Rock And Hyde: Under the Volcano (1987) Their are song really good songs in here for 80's (and others) addicts. Take the time and you'll find it's worth it.
  • One of the greatest bands in Canadian history. Band decided (forced) to change their name because of Dj's being nervous about the name. It was the perfect name for when they were a Punk band but not so much when reaching for fame. They have a lot of great songs but sadly they also had more than a few that just couldn't stand the test of time. Not to mention just too many name changes to keep the momentum going between releases. I must have seen these guys play at least 5 times in their heyday, which might also have been my heyday ;)
  • Last.fm is only showing that they have 2 albums, and they're both the SAME album. Come on, guys. They're from Canada, not outer Mongolia:) http://www.artistdirect.com/artist/albums/releases/payola/477727 Even the above link has an error. Under the Volcano was actually released under the name Rock & Hyde, not the Payolas.
  • Top Listener isn't based on overall plays.
  • I have 723 plays and I'm no longer a top listener. LastFM can be funny sometimes.
  • wow, I listened to eyes of a stranger 3 times and I am a top listener.
  • what the hell, eyes of a stranger is one of my favorite songs ever. when it's nice outside, put your windows down and go out driving some night and put on "eyes of a stranger" and you will fall in love
  • I want to live inside of "Eyes of a Stranger."
  • geez, these guys are more obscure than i thought...
