“Causa y Efecto” (English: Cause and Effect) is a song by Latin pop singer Paulina Rubio, composed by Mario Domm, produced by Latin Grammy Award winner Cachorro Lopez and mixed by Monica Velez for Paulina’s ninth studio album Gran City Pop. The song was released as the album’s first single.

“Causa y Efecto”, debuted on radio stations on March 30. The song was performed at the fist time on April 23, 2009 at the Latin Billboard Music Awards 2009 with Rubio as one of the most expected artists of the night[3], she also performed the song in a private concert at the Gotham Hall in New York City on May 11 promoting Gran City Pop. The concert was presented by Univision Radio[4].
