'Graceland' the best? No. 'Rhythm of the Saints', 'Paul Simon', 'There Goes Rhymin' Simon', 'Hearts and Bones', _then_ Graceland.

Paul Simon has one of the most beautiful voices I have ever heard in my life. His early albums are a pleasure to the senses, I just want more and more..

It's disappointing how prominent the Graceland stuff is compared to his best work from the 70s. Still Crazy After All These Years is arguably his very best song and it's barely in the Top 20. You Can Me Al is among his worst! Oh well. . .

  • madsimon

Graceland is far and away my favorite of his albums, but that could be because it's the one that really introduced me to his solo work. It's in my top 5 albums of all time.

What do you think they found hidden away, in the cab-i-net cold of their hearts? the Penguins the Moonglows the Or-i-oles and the Five Satins. The easy stream of laughter floating through the air. Rene and Georgette Magritte with their dog apres la guerre...

No matter what my musical mood, I can always put on a Paul Simon album and enjoy it. - Bexifer, I agree! Boy In The Bubble is at the top for myself also.

  • matnor

He has done it again! Every time I listen to a new Paul Simon album I think: Well this is nice, but not quite as good as the others. But the more you listen to it, the better it gets. This album is one of his best. Only Graceland and The Rhythm Of The Saints is better...

    May 2006
  • duken

crac-boum-huuu, I think you need a hearing aid.. And maybe a pair of glasses too.. The song is called Me and Julio Down by the Schoolyard!!! It's even number 5 on both Top Tracks lists..!

    May 2006
  • Bexifer

Wartime Prayers is my favourite on the album, in fact its up there with Boy In The Bubble as one of my all time favourite Paul Simon songs. Amazing.

Not as good as his best, sure, but I'm enjoying the new album. Of course, I'm also a Brian Eno fan...

The new album is WAY, WAY better than most of the 80's albums... thanks to Eno and modern technology I guess....MEAN JULIO...? you gotta be kidding, crac boum huu.
