About this album

New is an album by Paul McCartney, released on 14 October 2013. It is his sixteenth studio album and his first since 2007’s Memory Almost Full to consist entirely of new compositions. The album was executive produced by Giles Martin with production by Martin, Mark Ronson, Ethan Johns and Paul Epworth. McCartney has stated that the record was inspired by recent events in his life as well as memories of his pre-Beatles history, and that some of the arrangements are unlike his usual rock recordings. Reception to the first single “New” and the album as a whole has been positive.

10/10 at least. The Collector's edition tracks are well worth checking out!

I keep finding myself coming back to this album. I dig the varied influences. If I had to choose, Paul may be at his best when he sounds like his classic style with a touch of Beach Boys (the title track comes to mind.)

A mix of Wings, The Beatles and The Fireman. Sheer perfection!

Last three of Macca's albums have been worthy of five stars, he's better than ever. It makes me think about what if John were still here...

He has a consistent amount of great work, if you enjoy this check out "Off The Ground," "Flowers in the Dirt" and "Flaming Pie" all 3 are amazing, yet never talked about Macca albums.

this is just so much rehashing of what he has done in the past and not even a rehashing of his best stuff.... i grew up with Paul, John, George and Ringo and have followed each one faithfully all my life.... it's so sad to see Paul produce something so mediocre as this
