Paul Davis (April 21, 1948 – April 22, 2008) was an American singer, best known for his radio hits and solo career which started worldwide in 1970. His career encompassed soul, country and pop music, and he wrote many memorable country music hits.

  • In college, pop music was a huge part of my life...and listening to these songs now, makes me realize that although Paul Davis looks nothing like a pop star...this man, along with Dan Fogelberg and so many other singer-songwriters from the 70's and 80's...made life so much better on the campus for the long days and lonely nights during times of studying and just plain surviving...what a great thing.   • R.I.P. Paul. We always could depend on Paul Davis for nice, sweet love songs. Definitely didn't look like the voice, I guess that made him even more special. Sad that he's gone.
