Tampa, Florida’s own Paul Kodi. Former lead singer of Jezebel, Love And War, and Dirty Faced Angels.
At the age of 9 a friend from school turned Kodi onto KISS(Rock’N’Roll Over). He immediately began aggrevating his mother (and anyone else who would listen) to get him a guitar. After listening to his plees until she could stand no more she finally gave in and got him a steel-string folk guitar (not much of a guitar, but ya gotta start somewhere).
For a while it was KISS and no-one else that guided Kodi’s musical direction, but slowly he began listen to others (most notably, Pat Benatar and Aerosmith) and began to incorporate them into his style as well. Early in Jr. High School, Kodi joined his first band, a group of much older guys who’s singer was a fall-down drunk, playing KISS and Aerosmith covers.
At 14 he had finally had enough of the cover band thing, and Influenced by the Glam bands of LA, began writing his own stuff. And through good and bad he’s still going at it.
