7 Apr 2011, 19:10 by JorikaŚro 6 IV – Patrick Wolf, Rowdy Superst*r
A! No i oczywiście Patrick wyglądał bardzo ładnie, stroje z tej trasy cieszą oczy bardziej niż z poprzedniej, gdzie wizerunek zaczął zjadać Patricka.

A blue-clad, yellow-fronted fairytale. Raissa's vocals were spot-on, her stiff dancing adorable. She stalked about the stage, looking like the fascinatingly awkward kid in school. The substitution of orchestra for melodica was as effective as it could be and proved that the Mummers were willing to buy into the festival spirit, topping off the set with a "mummers mash-up" of Passion Pit's Sleepyhead.
The Duckworth Lewis Method
Neil, sporting eccentric facial hair and wielding a cricket bat, and Thomas, who has oddly small, delicate hands provided the perfect accompaniment to this ashes weekend. Extremely self-aware and great fun, Jiggery Pokery being the obvious highlight.
The undisputed highlight. Atmospheric, otherworldly beats, pantomime performers. It was like an alien embassy and strangely reminded me of the diva scene from the Fifth Element. I felt stoned during the performance and completely lost for words afterwards. Stunning.
23 May 2009, 02:55 by boingocureYou hear everyone call songs "God Only Knows" or "A Day in the Life" music masterpieces, but most of those songs were in the 1950's through the 1970's. There are still amazing, beautiful, and stunning masterpieces released in this time and this is my list of the 50 best modern masterpieces. I cannot put them in order of greatness so they are just in alphabetical order.
Animal Collective - My Girls
Antony and the Johnsons - Hope There's Someone
Arcade Fire - Rebellion (Lies)
Belle and Sebastian - If You're Feeling Sinister
Björk - Jóga
Bon Iver - Lump Sum
Broken Social Scene - Cause = Time
Coldplay - Viva la Vida
The Cure - Plainsong
Daft Punk - One More Time
Daniel Johnston - Dream Scream
The Decemberists - On the Bus Mall
Deerhunter - Agoraphobia
Depeche Mode - Enjoy the Silence
Elliott Smith - Memory Lane
Feist - Mushaboom
The Flaming Lips - Feeling Yourself Disintegrate
Fleet Foxes - Blue Ridge Mountains
14 Mar 2009, 17:59 by TomG88Thu 12 Mar – Patrick Wolf, Micachu and the Shapes, Craig Template
A disclaimer before we start: Patrick Wolf is my favourite musician ever. I never thought I’d have one (or even necessarily ought to have one) but there you go. My point is, Patrick Wolf could release an album of S Club 7 covers played entirely by squashing cats and I’d still buy it. So this account will be in no way impartial, unbiased or necessarily coherent…
We arrived at Heaven about 15 minutes after doors to find no queue and the first support act playing already. However, having seen Craig Template do his thing it was clear that had we done our research, we would have stayed away too… The less said about him the better really. Second support act Micachu and the Shapes were really good both nights, and I think I might do a separate journal about their performances in order to do them justice and keep this journal to a manageable size. Not much to say about the venue except that as it is a big ex railway arch, it was reasonably good looking and had good sound…
24 Jan 2009, 06:53 by jet-setterIt's simple: open your music player of choice, and use the song titles that play in their order to answer these questions.
...I do these too much.
HOW DO YOU FEEL TODAY?
Somebody Feel Good
Not really. I have a damn chest infection.
WHAT'S YOUR OUTLOOK ON LIFE?
Well, he talks a lot about wanting stuff in this song, but then his blood's beating black...so...
WHAT DOES YOUR FAMILY THINK OF YOU?
Who Wants to Live Forever
Now that is just cruel.
WHAT DO YOUR FRIENDS THINK OF YOU?
Broken Boy Soldier
Apparently everybody thinks I don't deserve to live!
WHAT DO STRANGERS THINK OF YOU?
She Has No Time
WHAT DO YOUR EXES THINK OF YOU?
Snow in California
HOW IS YOUR LOVE LIFE?
LoveStoned (I Think She Knows Interlude)
Actually, I am pretty lovestoned. Unfortunately.
HOW WILL YOUR LOVE LIFE BE IN THE FUTURE?
WILL YOU GET MARRIED?
If I marry a scenester, can somebody kill me?
WILL YOU HAVE KIDS?
