    I personally think this album contains some of Patrick's most amazing works i.e. Thickets and Theseus. Both hauntingly beautiful tracks which I don't think I can live without.

    ... his older albums just have this charm and humility about them that make them such gems [2] That's true but still I think this is a very underrated album. I like to think of The Bachelor as a more theatrical album, and that's not really a bad thing. Also, I don't want Patrick to return to something he's done before, one of the best things about him is that he keeps changing his style.
