Path Of Decay is a five piece punk band from Belgrade, Serbia.

Path Of Decay exists and plays actively since 2006, when they had their first show. In the fall of the same year, they recorded their first release, an EP called “This Is Not An Advertisement For A Conspiracy Theory”, which was released in the spring of 2007 by an independent Belgrade based label, Ha-Ko Bastards. During 2009, Path Of Decay recorded their first album in the “Socijala” studio in Novi Sad. The self titled album was released in march of 2010, also by Ha-Ko Bastards. In the meantime, the band participated with their songs on two compilations, “Not Without A Fight” and “Powder Keg”, both released in Serbia. The members of the band are: Ivana (drums), Vuk (bass), Janko (guitar), Marko (guitar) and Pavle (vocals).
During its existence, the band has gone through some changes in its sound, ranging from a melodic street punk sound dominant on the first release to a more nervous hardcore sound influenced by psychedelic rock, which can be heard on the LP. All lyrics are in english, and they don’t cover the standard “politically or socially aware” topics, but are more frequently related to personal stands of the author and his relations to the social phenomena that intrigue him, as well as his fascination with people’s stupidity and dishonesty.
Path Of Decay is not politically oriented, but is a big opponent of any kind of national, religious, political, sexual, creative or any other form of discrimination. Also, the band fully supports DIY culture, as well as every other form of alternative artistic expression.
