Solid album, but Draconian Times mastered this album's concept in songwriting, production, and atmosphere, with much better drumming to boot.

People keep mentioning Hetfield but I also hear some Geoff Tate in the vocals as well

Hetfield-esque or not, Nick Holmes vocal output on this album is definitely one of his strongest overall efforts. I think he really came into his own on this album, when he really found his voice.
