Biography
Their music was a peculiar mix of literate singer-songwriter pop with experimental noise-rock, feedback drones and primitive electronics. This sound was very much centred around the fragile voice and self-consciously modernist lyrics of the group’s leader Gary McKendry.
They released three singles and recorded one Peel session. The group is long since defunct.

Haha, good point indeed. It does sound pretty good either way though - gotta love freeform improvised guitar feedback and random melodies sprinkled everywhere. Totally fun to play this track through an amp via the aux in and just "jam" along to it :p.

I believe that song was just a speeding up drum machine track with random noise over the top, so it probably sounded pretty different every time they played it!

I wish there was a studio version of "You Are Ten Million Needles Pierce"... But it'd probably sound different anyway since the 91 gig sounded different from the Peel Session version.

I bought the flying to vegas e.p. - they were hyped to death by Melody Maker - recipe for disaster at the time. I thought they were ok - but they probably suffered because of the A.R. Kane link and inevitable comparisons.
