Panic! At the Disco was a Las Vegas, Nevada band who formed in 2004. Their debut album, A Fever You Can't Sweat Out, made it to #13 on the Billboard 200 album chart. The album has sold over one million copies (Platinum) since its September 2005 release.

In 2008, they changed their name to Panic At The Disco for all future albums and tours.

The band was formed in Las Vegas by schoolmates Ryan Ross on guitar and Spencer Smith on drums. They recruited fellow schoolmates Brent Wilson on bass and Brendon Urie on vocals. Jon Walker took over from Brent Wilson in May 2006. Their name was taken from a line in the song Panic, in turn a reference to a song of the same name by The Smiths.

At the beginning of 2008 Panic! At the Disco changed their name to Panic At the Disco for all subsequent albums and tours.
