Biography

This name was first used in 1992 when Shawn Crahan, Paul Gray, Patrick Nuewith and Anders Colsefini met in the so-called ‘Basement Sessions’. They recorded two tapes from these sessions, both of which included songs ‘Slipknot’ and ‘Gently’, which later surfaced on Slipknot’s independent debut Mate.Feed.Kill.Repeat. In 1994, the band renamed to ‘Slipknot’. Painface disbanded during the Slipknot’s MFKR era. They became active again when Anders Colsefni left Slipknot. In 2000, with a vastly different line-up, they released the EP called On A Pale Horse and their only album to date Fleshcraft which only sold 1000 copies, as MFKR did in 1996.
