Pailhead is a collaboration between Ian MacKaye (Minor Threat, Teen Idles, Fugazi, Embrace, etc.) and Ministry. The combo debuted in 1987 with the "I Will Refuse"/"No Bunny" 7", and followed that with the Trait EP in 1988. (The Trait CD included both releases.) The music is fairly typical of Ministry circa The Land of Rape and Honey, over which MacKaye shouts his politically-inclined lyrics.

  • I'm sure Ian MacKaye got over his edge dogma years ago for the sake of music, for good reason too.
  • "how the hell did Jourgensen and MacKaye end up collaborating? it isn't exactly the most obvious matchup :P" Who knows? Maybe they were both more into the music than the politics of drug usage. Maybe it was a mutual love of Killing Joke or something. KJ are also notable by their absence from the similar artists list. Damage Manual is as close as the list gets... Bizarre.
  • Check out a hard to find Australian Horror film called Bloodlust. It features Man should surrender throughout the movie \m/
