Paije Richardson, 20, is a cinema usher and former fashion student from Islington, London. He has recently finished a BTEC National Diploma in Art and Design (Fashion and Clothing) at City and Islington College. He first auditioned to The X Factor with “Fly Me To The Moon” by Frank Sinatra but Walsh was the only judge to enthuse over his performance, Cowell compared him to a wedding singer and joined Cole in giving him a no. Walsh went backstage to ask him to come back at the end of the day with another song. When Richardson returned he performed James Brown’s “It’s A Man’s Man’s Man’s World”, to which he received a yes from all three judges, with Cowell complementing his taste in music. At the judges houses stage he performed “True Colors” but failed to make it into the inital top 12. He was then chosen by Minogue as her “wild card”. He came 7th on the show overall.

His debut album was announced on 6th March 2012, with it being financed via pledge music here:

I'd love to work in a cinema.

I went off him a bit when he started complaining about that cinema job he had, as if he were the only teenager in the world to have a low-paying, menial, boring job. But now that I know he was in a Harry Potter film, it kind of makes sense that he hates is - nobody wants to go from starring in the big screen to sweeping up the popcorn in front of it.

Neither him nor Cher should have been bottom 2. In fact personally I think Wagner + Mary should have been. But out of the two, I do believe Cher has more to give and is an all-round better performer, even though he's the better singer. [2]

For fuck's sake. So annoyed. He is a brilliant singer. If Paije releases an album, I'm buying it as soon as it is released.

love paije but danni really can't work with soul singers...i'm assuming the week he sang 'aint nobody' someone else picked the song for him. am dying for him to sing luther even though it's so obvious.
