"now he's one of us, plays the tambourine, breaks the bread for us and sings" damn, that gets me every time. [2]

Oh man, go get the Daytrotter version. He pulls in the first verse of Feather and the world turns out like it's supposed to be.

It's not that Christian... especially if you listen to the live version. He changes the lyrics to "Like the heart of God, that crooked mystery" and "Will you bury us with your blushing circus king?" It's obviously Jesus and "circus" is because mega-church Christianity is so commercial and overhyped. "Dance like elephants while he comes to us through a fiery golden ring" is all the born again republicans swaying in lock-step to their warmongering pseudo-God. Seriously... google the lyrics and check out any of the live performances on youtube and then tell me this isn't a brilliant parody of "Christian" rock
