Version 26

PJ Taylor (born Paul James Taylor, 21 February, 1979), is a British singer/songwriter from Marylebone in Central London. He has been singing and writing original material since 2006, and has a growing fanbase in the US and the UK. Taylor since becoming a recording artist has worked on different styles of music but is better known for his high energy tracks such as Every Little Action, Morning Light and Twisted Love Song

The subject of many of Taylor’s songs make his music distinctive, exploring existential themes of obsession, addiction, compulsion, trangession and adultery. His lyrics draw mainly from his own emotions and experiences, but are often ambiguous, leaving the listener to interpret the meanings and indentify with the song in their own way.

His early work includes covers of tracks such as Tracy Chapman’s Fast Car, The Verve’s The Drugs Don’t Work, Bon Jovi’s Bed Of Roses, and Save The Best For Last by Vanessa Williams.

Taylor started work on his first album, So Near… So Far, in which was never released for technical and financial reasons. This album included original tracks from him including Morning Light, More Than A Love Song, and Hesitation.

In 2010, Taylor recorded a 2nd EP, Every Little Action, which features mixes of some of his current and earlier work including Every Little Action and Twisted Love Song.

He is currently writing a proper album entitled The Red Button which will be due for completion and ready for downloading on iTunes in Spring 2014.
