Which song describes the mood you are in right now?: The Shins - New Slang
Which song describes the mood you are usually in?: Interpol - PDA
You are the only person who's completely certain there's nothing here to be into. That is all that you can do. You are a past sinner, the last winner and everything we've come to makes you, you. But you cannot safely say, while I will be away, that you will not consider sadly how you helped me to stray. You will not reach me. I am resenting a position that is past resentment, and now I can't consider. And now there is this distance.
Which song describes one of your favorites things to do?: Radiohead - I Can't
Which song describes something else you like to do?: Bright Eyes - The Awful Sweetness of Escaping Sweat

11 Dec 2008, 23:57 by ob82One of the joys of the internet is the ability to look at list of Greatest Songs of all Time and similar shit and you can often discover quality gems of music. I thought rI’d give the old list thing a bash. Instead of going for the 60’s and 90’s where my favourite music mainly originates I thought I’d take a stab at the current decade. Despite being a two years shy of an actual decade and with my initial misgivings about how music was much better in my day (well, the previous decade) I had a fucking mission to limit my choices. I had to go to 190 songs and I may even edit my choices in the next few days.
This decade has produced some quality tracks in a wider variety of genres than ever before. Although it could be argued that there more “instant classics” in every prior decade since the 50’s. Looking through my list there are too many bands that have really becoming immensely huge. perhaps Coldplay who confound many (including myself) in having three songs in the list. …

7 Oct 2008, 22:16 by absoliaTori Amos
Favourite track: Changes often, but Precious Things is probably the ~*ultimate*~ Tori song.
Least favorite track: Barring anything on The Beekeeper, which might as well not exist, I'd have to say Flying Dutchman.
Happy song: Secret Spell
Sad song: "Sad" is an understatement, but Me and a Gun is pretty jarring on the sad side of the spectrum of emotions
If a song had to be played when you entered the room, it would be: Datura
First song you heard: Crucify, when it was a new single on the radio. I loved it.
Last song you listened to: Listening to Caught a Lite Sneeze at the moment.
Best album: Boys for Pele, no contest.
Worst album: The Beekeeper
Best live song: The Waitress
Song that describes you: I think the stock answer for most would be Precious Things.
Song for your funeral: Mother is the first song that came to mind.
Most overrated song: Siren-- I don't get the hype. At all.
Most underrated song: Marianne

So this one's late. I suppose that was inevitable, given my various flaws. Oh well, not like anyone was waiting for it anyway...
1. ...And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead (19 plays)
That thing about the books? With the covers, and all that stuff? Y'know, about not judging them?Turns out all that's pretty true. Because, not only are these guys not the metal band I was sure they must be, but they are fast becoming one of my absolute favorites. Not that I have anything wrong with metal (and actually listen to quite a bit of it), but these guys are like this awesome indie band with the oftentimes huge and sweeping songs, I swear I was nearly out of breathe the first time I heard Will You Smile Again?.
2. Badly Drawn Boy (18 plays)
My first experience with Badly Drawn Boy was years ago, when my younger brother was pretty into trance and chillout music. He'd buy Ministry of Sound samplers and CD's by bands with names like Carbon Blue and Dance Left Feet. …

Well, I just want to walk right out of this world..
