Don't understand why this album seems to be underrated amongst many PJ fans, it's one of her best. Such a strong set of songs.

Unashamed
It's basically 'is this desire' meets 'stories...', I feel like she wasn't really inspired while making this one. That being said, it's still a solid album and it has some great pieces of music on it.

My least favourite actual album (at least I can pretend 4-Track Demos isn't an actual album). The production's once again sunk to sounding dissipated and messy (Rob Ellis' fault again?) like Dry and Rid of Me but without their glimmers of energy or force (Who the Fuck?), and in other places it sounds like a less well-constructed Is This Desire? (Shame). The songwriting's also not at the same level as the previous albums (not to mention the cover is silly cheap) despite some standouts like The Desperate Kingdom of Love or The Darker Days of Me & Him... I wonder if the B-sides are better?

It's a really good album and a brilliant way to follow up the perfect and polished Stories. [2] there are a few really personal moments on this, and that's hard to find with pjs stuff. it's my least favorite of hers but it's still better than my favorites from a lot of other artists.
