P.F. Sloan (born Philip Gary Schlein on September 18, 1945 in New York; died November 15, 2015) was an American pop-rock singer and songwriter. He was very successful during the mid-1960s, writing, performing and producing Billboard top 20 hits for artists such as Barry McGuire, Jan & Dean, Herman's Hermits, Johnny Rivers, The Grass Roots and the Mamas & the Papas. Amongst his best-known songs is "Eve of Destruction", a hit for Barry McGuire in 1965

  • Thought you might be interested to know that PF Sloan will be in London on 23 June at St. James's Piccadilly to launch his autobiography and perform. He will be joined by Rumer who had a hit in 2012 with a cover version of Jimmy Webb's 'PF Sloan'. Here's the link to the event:
