2 Aug 2010, 16:57 by Babs_05The idea is for a journal for every month listing new albums I listen to and what I think so that when I review the year's music in December, I will have a handy reminder. I will add to this as the month goes on. Suggestions welcome.

Vashti Bunyan - Lookaftering
David Ford - I sincerely apologise for the all trouble I've caused
Osymyso - The art of flipping channels
Kubb - Mother (signed)
Vashti's album I've already had for about a month, but as an iTunes download. It was a CD that I loved and was going to buy on CD at some point as well anyway, so I thought I may as well keep it. Still love it. Highly recommend her album, even if you caught just the one song on Jools Holland or something.
David Ford formerly of Easyworld. His solo album is nice and chilled, however, it's nothing that you haven't really heard before if you listen to stuff like Damien Rice and other quite laid back alternative bands.
Osymyso's album is one I'd not heard of up till today, but I love this kind of stuff. Just like the kind of mix tapes you'd expect from UNKLE. Very well put together and highly enjoyable from start to finish.
I was put off Kubb when I heard 'Wicked soul' on the radio (seemed to be played every day on the way and way back from Uni)…
11 Nov 2005, 11:08 by cybaeaToday's harvest from The Album Club was:
* The Art of Flipping Channels by the talented Osymyso. (See also www.osymyso.com.)
* Lookaftering by Vashti Bunyan
* Swords by The Ralfe Band.
* I Sincerely Apologise For All The Trouble I've Caused by David Ford
Finally, they also sent me an expensive, shiny coaster in the form of Mother by Kubb. That one is going right back in the post today. Silly Album Club, stupid music industry.
