Orzelda is the moniker of Craig Orzel, bassist of Glasgow-based quartet The Twilight Sad

The Wee Shop Is Filled With Delights is his first solo effort. It was released through free distribution by winning sperm party

Label description:
The debut album from Orzelda “The Wee Shop Is Filled With Delights” is a record of bright techni-colour songs, the perfect soundtrack to home made films and back room cinemas.

Recorded at home in Cumbernauld whilst taking time out from his bass and noise duties with Scottish quartet the Twilight Sad, Orzelda blends a love of the fairer sex, old time computer games and tickling distortion into a set of songs that inspires waltzing with dogs and wolves, skipping through motorway underpasses, and buries the whole lot in the swathes of lo-fi atmosphere. Obscure sounds and instruments buzz, hum and vibrate, with clashing frequencies and sliding time stretches. It rings with the true noise of Super Mario worlds and bus journeys, jumping on the heads of Wayne Coyne, Dan Deacon and Gregorys Girl as he races through the levels. Accompanied by darkly humourous artwork, the album begs to be taken home, popped on a dirty hard drive and played forever.
