Orquesta Tipica El Afronte is a tango group from Buenos Aires, Argentina. It’s formed by four bandoneons, three violins, one cello, one piano, and a contrabass. As they state in their website, “the name is no accident; it truly represents the work criteria an spirit of each one of the musicians when it comes to performing: “El Afronte” (meaning ‘to face’)”.

El Afronte has released three records, two live and one in studio. Besides performing at a local tango house all wednesdays, they also can be seen on the streets of San Telmo’s fair every sunday.
