That's so untrue. Life is only worth living if you dedicate that life to one single cause. And that cause is Jesus Christ.

I feel bad for people who cannot appreciate more than one musical genre... They're living a boring life. [2] Agreed.

Personally, I think Opeth's style is "Opeth".. Just like Meshuggah's style is "Meshuggah".

Blackwater Park (the song) is perfected death metal. Not sure exactly what kind of genre this song could be put under, but I'm sure that this is about as good it could get. Pretty sure that's why Opeth has progressively become more and more prog rock (whatever you want to call Heritage), because they have damn near conquered a genre. This song is Opeth in pure acoustic form, and rivals Blackwater Park as a death metal counterpart.

Death Metal is not limited to growls, and Opeth is not limited to Death Metal. This song also shows that Opeth is capable of balancing aggressivity and calm in an album, which is perfect. Songs like Harvest by a band like Opeth is a proof of their proficient musicianship. Of course, not every one likes such songs.

I absolutely love the chorus. I love the verses also. The chorus is sung on another tone which I find richer and with some more variation as compared to the rather monotonous (monotonous does not mean boring), lamenting-like (and beautiful) verses.
