    @gorgeonthis I actually like Heritage more than Damnation, but I think that probably just indicates a slight difference in our tastes. One thing we can agree on is the majestic beast this track is. I put this with tracks like Deliverance, The Moor, Demon of the Fall, Heir Apparent, and Blackwater Park...no, not all my favorites. These tracks just seem to channel Opeth in its purest sense. Not sure if that makes sense to anyone else.

    see this is the opeth we all know and love...i cant stand the new album, I KNOW BLASPHEMY right, well fuck it , theres a few gems on it but for the most part i think its garbage, yet they are still my favorite...this album and the others have had more influence on my music than any other but the new album just threw a super curveball. and people say " ooo they hate it cause there no metal vocals and its not heavy" but if i remember correctly "damnation is another favorite album of mine so to use that remark is not relevant...its just completely different and not opeth in my eyes at all...except maybe a minute or 2 here and there...shoulda done a double disk. disc 1: Regular opeth/Disc 2 : mikael on the 70's dick
