Biography

Note.
There seems to be a few bands all named olympus mons.

Olympus Mons play highly emotionally charged, urgent, jittery indie P’Rock.
The London trio unload the tension of the daily hustle and bustle of the capital in songs full of nervous twitches, intricate melodies and soothing harmonies. Or as producer Jim Mcbuck puts it: “You can’t fake hectic”.

Their music and lyrics reflect a romantic view on a fragile and urban society that is defined by the madness of daily life, heartbreaks and personal stories, not afraid of making social comments either.

Aaron (Vox and Guitar), Norbert (Bass) and Moran (Drums) first met in early 2006 on the London music scene and soon decided that their busy and hyperactive playing styles perfectly suited each other.

Only 3 months later, they started performing live and not only did the band impress the punters but also the music industry.

In 2006, Olympus Mons were voted “best unsigned band” by Play Music, and won the “3 Student Music Awards” as well as the “Fopp Award for New Music”.

Since then, the band has played more than 200 gigs in Europe sharing the stage with bands such as Babyshambles, The Delays, The Maccabees…

That same year the band met Dad Records’ David Rousseau at an illegal boat party in London. He was blown away by the band’s fired up performance and also shared their vision of the future of indie music.

Yes, the french band from Bordeaux is on the first photo and described on the text who have done "Numera effa ilibï". Septiic give their myspace add. The songs which are here are from the other band but some videos are theirs. I put some of mine on You tube too, they're my friends. But you could also listen to their music on their myspace.

well - there's a mixture of two different bands on this page. In fact, the trio from london that the text seems to talk about, are the ones who made the Follow You Down EP. And they are, by the way, a fantastic live band. Then there must be the three other blokes with the same band name who published the numera effa ilïbï album. They must be the ones shown on the photograph. Does anyone know h
