    The album artwork represents the angel that's mentioned in the Book of Revelation, from where Messiaen took his apocalyptic inspiration. It is said to be a giant angel, with a foot on the ground and the other one on water, with a rainbow over his head. So yes, it actually should be scary... and cute at the same time (scary refering to the fact of waching a giant angel preparing to destroy Earth, and cute refering to the album art)
