El mismo Oliver Nelson hace una descripción de su "Butch and Butch". Una breve introduccción por el "maravilloso" Roy Haynes. Luego Eric Dolphy y Freddie Hubbard toman la palabra, agregándose George Barrow en barítono. Después comienza su "poema" el mismo compositor, regresa Hubbard con algunas líneas, Dolphy con otras y pone el punto final, si es que lo hay, el inolvidable Bill Evans. Si uno piensa que la mayoría de estos músicos están muertos, si la memoria no falla, se experimenta tirsteza con algo de eso que los argentinos califican como broma. Aunque muchos lo niegan y suelen enojarse una muerte joven parece estar destinada a los músicos de jazz. Pensemos en una lista de los muertos antes de los treinta y otras que apenas alcanzaron los cuarenta, para sentir más rtristeza y muchas más bronca. Gary Vila Ortiz. Rosario. Argentina.
