Old Fashioned Oyster Crackers, more commonly known as OFOC (oh-fock), is a seven piece band hailing from good old Long Island. OFOC formed in the summer of 2006 as a five piece ska-driven group. Vanuch played sax, Greer played guitar, and Tom played trumpet. Jeff, a friend of all three, played drums, and with that, fusion begun. Faraz came along by the means of the would-be tromboner, however this ‘boner was unable to fulfill a certain time commitment, due to his on-going addiction to the magical mystical World of Warcraft. Kenny, a friend of Faraz, and an all-state tromboner, discovered OFOC through the myspace, and proceeded to write a heartfelt and enthusiastic three page resume to join the band. With three horns, guitar, bass, and drums, OFOC was in business. Jimmy, the last of the horns, joined the band sometime during the winter of 2006. None of OFOC can remember the circumstances of Jimmy joining, but nevertheless, he added some much needed emotivity to the band. OFOC began performing live and pleasing the crowds, writing, and partying. OFOC entered the studio (cramped upstairs bathroom/closet) of engineer Bill Jahn to record their first EP, titled “EP is for EPIC.” OFOC can be seen all throughout Long Island, performing, loving, living.
