Oh, Hush!

Oh, Hush! are the Myspace darlings who are both delighting and baffling fans with their music, and with their persistence to keep the identity of the band members a secret.

Though not much is known about who’s in the band, who’s writing the music, and what this means for a music industry that some say is on the decline, what we do know is that it’s just damn good fun. Catchy songs, subtle hints at what’s to come and who’s behind the music, and enough mystique to keep everyone guessing, Oh, Hush! is sure to become your new not so guilty pleasure, but don’t worry. It’s everyone else’s too., and their over 17,000 friends on Myspace prove just that.

One of the best bands I've ever discovered through myspace (the other being Cartel).

Their album is surprisingly diverse and abundantly creative. The album has a great overall rhythm and hits the right tones with any music listener. It is appropriately titled the yellow album because it is able to express the different emotions associated with the color. While a lot of the songs pack a lot of energy that could be represented by a sunny yellow, "My Neighbor Thinks I'm Famous," "Everybody's Lookin' for Love," "Shh...I've Got a Secret." There are some mellow songs that fit a more buttery yellow, like "Perfect Imperfect." This band is just consistent and gives all types of listeners exactly what they want. They focus a lot on the music and the fans, so much that they decided not to reveal their identities to prevent the bias that people would have towards the band. They have solely generated fans through their myspace. And successfully so will their great talent and wonderful album.

I first heard Oh, Hush! from my friend who was telling me about this awesome band with fun songs and she thought I'd really enjoy them. Needless to say, I definitely did :) The songs are like nothing you've ever heard, they're so upbeat and fun to dance to (which you really can't help but dance when you hear the songs.) The CD was just released last September, and it's in my top 10 CDs I own! "MY Neighbor Thinks I'm Famous", "Going Down In Style", and "Everybody's Looking For Love", and "I'm In Love With You (And You)" are most definitely my favorites to dance to. Y'all should buy the CD! It's not a whole lot of money, and you won't regret it. Y'all should go friend them, they're super awesome.

Taken from A source who wishes to remain anonymous has confirmed that Oh, Hush! is not associated in any way with Fueled by Ramen/Decaydance Records, stating that they are using bands' myspace and message boards to con fans.
