No doubt it's indeed a more modern sounding album, compared with the two previous efforts, but it's been more than 10 years, musicians evolve, etc etc so everyone knows the deal. I still think this album is a worthy successor, it has October Tide written all over it, a classic Doom Death feeling I haven't heard in a long time (oh, how I miss the 90's in that way) and it beats the crap out of a lot of new stuff nowadays. Great comeback!

Best album of 2010 for me overall, and this year was musically good. I stopped listening to death doom for more than 2 years now and this album just brought it all back to my play-list again.
