Studio Time #new album!!!

20 Aug 2012 | from ntjamrosie.blogspot.com/

Hiii there!!!

Yes, time has come for me to record a new album. FINALLY ( scream haha )It's so exciting to hear my songs develop in the studio.

I have been writing and writing... On the guitar this time. I only wrote three songs on the piano.

I have two great engineers working with me at E-sound studio's in Weesp Holland.Mendel Pool is leading the project and Shakil Bholasing ( young and supertalent ). The studio is amazing!!! Vintage, just perfect!!😊😊😊

My pianoplayer/co-songwriter is producing the album with me. So I am co-producing for the first time. His name is Alexander van Popta, a young talent. I am so happy!!!

I wrote 10 songs and co-wrote on the other three. Two with Alex and one with Reinier Baas. An amazing young jazz guitar player. He is as Dutch as the get, but his sound has an international appeal. And I know one day I will be bregging about having written and recorded a song with him haha #forreal!!

Brass, violins, backing vocals, and one of the best trumpet players I know. Eric Vloeimans. The thing I like about him is his timbre. Is that used in English??? Anyway, the "colour" and his improvisation is modern, superb and what I like the most, youthfully playful!!

You might be wondering if this album will be like "elle". The answer is no.
Why? Because I am artist that likes to work with musical concepts. This concept is different.

With "elle" I was a philosofer. The fly on wall. Observing the people and situations around me. All of that inspired me to conceptualise the third person. I kinda put myself on the background.

But now... I am taking you to a place I go to when I surch for a peace of mind.
That is all I am telling, for now ;-))))

Keep you posted!
Tnx for reading.

Stay blessed.

Ps. I am in the studio typing this blog , so please forgive me for the mistakes!!!;-)
