Now It’s Overhead are an indie rock band fronted by singer/songwriter Andy LeMaster and based in Athens, GA. Their first album, a self-titled collection of songs LeMaster wrote over a period of two years in the late 90s, quickly rose from a studio project to a full-time band with the assistance of drummer Clay Leverett and Orenda Fink and Maria Taylor of Azure Ray.

Now It’s Overhead’s third album, Dark Light Daybreak, was released on September 12, 2006. In 2007, they supported Scottish indie-rock band Idlewild on their tour of Great Britain.

Fall Back Open pretty much defined 2005 for me. I rediscovered the CD in my closet this evening and am pretty excited about it. The best Saddle Creek band, for sure.

i'm also kinda suprised about the low popularity of this band, its hands down one of saddle creeks finest bands, so where are you listeners?

I will be really upset if there's never another album. I feel like Now It's Overhead and Andy LeMaster in general really are completely underrated. More people should be into his music.

my heart is in this band and i realized too late that i need to see them if i possibly can. i was convinced i had experienced them at their peak (or even slightly beyond it) over two years ago and thought it'd be better not seeing them a second time to avoid getting too disappointed. now i'm getting the feeling their time is over.. does anyone know a couple of genuinely true things about what's up with this wonderful band these days???
